How the service works

Our online services are designed to take away the hassles of having to install software on local PCs and keep the software up-to-date, secure and virus free.

Nothing is installed on your PC, except for some plug-ins to your Internet Explorer browser (we don’t currently support Mozilla, or Mac browsers).

You have an encrypted Internet Explorer window onto the secure server, where the software actually runs. Speed of response to keystrokes and to data-processing, such as report generation within Sage should be as fast if not faster than running the software locally.

You can save files (such as back-up files generated by Sage) to your local disks and network drives, and you can print to your local printer.

Getting started with online Sage

Once you’ve signed up with us getting started couldn’t be easier:

  1. Create a back-up file from any existing local Sage program
  2. Set-up your Internet Explorer browser
  3. Log-on to Online Sage from the PC or network where you’ve saved the back-up file
  4. Restore the back-up file from your PC or local network drive onto the server

Our technicians are available to speak with on the phone, in the UK.
